Ukraine Akhal-Tekes Update from the Akhal-Teke Foundation:
“New Babies! What a joy to share these lovely purebred Akhal-Teke foals! Born to Akhal-Teke mares evacuated from Ukraine, in the safety of their war-time foster homes in France and the Netherlands. Akhal-Teke supporters around the world stepped up and contributed, supported by the ATF and the ATAA and volunteers in six countries, to help evacuate rare Akhal-Teke horses from Ukraine, when the horses and the people were gravely endangered by the Russian invasion and continuing attacks. And today, with help from you, from their generous foster families, and from many others, the Akhal-Tekes evacuated from Ukraine are thriving, as you can see these beautiful new babies. Thanks in part to the generosity of the global Akhal-Teke community, not one of the rare and amazing Akhal-Teke horses in Ukraine has been lost so far in the Russian war of aggression. While we wish for the day when we can help again, to bring them back to their homeland Ukraineā¦ we are proud of the world Akhal-Teke community for helping these dear horses in need. Please share this great news!”
