The Akhal-Teke Association of America
Ancient Heritage, Modern Versatility.
The Akhal Teke Association of America (ATAA) works to preserve the endangered Akhal-Teke horse through responsible growth and promotion. They are a rare breed with their roots at the very beginning of horsemanship, and they have a history older and more fascinating than that of any single nation or culture. The ATAA exists as a resource for breeders, owners, and friends of the breed so that these special horses may be enjoyed for generations! We work in a registration partnership with the closed Russia studbook and offer support to breeders from sound breeding practice education to genetic testing. Competition is encouraged to help bring recognition to the breed through Incentive Funds and Scholarships, and we hope to see you at our next major venue like the World Equestrian Games, the Kentucky Horse Park, Dressage at Devon, Breyerfest, and Equitana.
